The Coto Brus River is known for its beautiful scenery, exciting rapids, the greenness that surrounds it and the diversity of wildlife that you can find on it. Since other boaters are rarely found there, it is a virgin river for rafting. It is simply an unforgettable adventure. Runs all year round. Jaco and Montezuma Taxi Boat & Shuttle Services

With our Taxi Boat, you'll save time and enjoy travelling the beatiful picturesque wat as we take you from the shores of Montezuma to Jacó on ours water taxi boats, crossing the Gulf of Nicoya, Costa Rica the Boat Ride takes only one hour and is the fastest way to get from Montezuma to Herradura-Jacó or Vice versa.   Of course, also to see the Nicoya Peninsula and it’s beautiful natural treasures like the beaches, waterfalls, good waves and much more, the best way of how to get to Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, Manzanillo, Playa Hermosa, Tambor, and Cabuya Towns.   We depart daily from Montezuma at 8:30 a.m., and again from Herradura Beach, just a bit North from Jaco Beach, at 10:00 a.m. for the return to Montezuma.   You will have the chance to see marine wildlife, like dolphins, rays, sea turtles and if you are lucky even whales on season.  *We will be more than happy to arrange your land transportation from Jaco to Manuel Antonio, Dominical, Uvita, Sierpe or San Jose (Airport) or Montezuma to Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, Cabuya, Tambor or where you need to go in COSTA RICA on nice AC Shuttle Vans. *Our Water Taxi Boat leaves from Montezuma Beach and Herradura Beach, north Jaco, the rest connections are by land.   *Every Boat has a roof that covers about the 70% of it, and we have a fleet of three-speed boats for this service up to 40 people on the biggest one, with twin outboard engines 200hp & 250hp total, 2016 & 2017 Suzuki marine models and experienced marine crew.     *Reservations in advance are required. Lowland Birdwatching Tour Hacienda Baru

Lowland Bird Watching Hike – Short Version The tour begins with birding the area near the starting point,  just like the long version. From there you visit the lowland trails and beach near the lodge. You are birding during the early hours when the birds are most active. Breakfast is not included with this tour. Departure: Monday – Saturday, 6:00 AM, requires prior reservation. Estimated time: 3 hours  Includes: Bilingual naturalist guide, admission Fee to Hacienda Barú National Wildlife Refuge, Bird Watching Tower, Breakfast, and the Medicinal Plant Garden. Limit: 8 person per group .  Minimum 2 people.   Lowland Bird Watching Hike long version The Lowland Bird Watching Hike begins early when the birds are just beginning to wake up. After a cup of coffee we will take you by car to the Hacienda Barú Biological Research Center a couple of kilomenters away. From there you will hike through secondary forest with your sharp-eyed guide. This is an ideal location for spotting tanagers, honeycreepers, toucans, saltators, vireos and others. After about an hour you will arrive at rookery where egrets, herons and ibis are often found. From the rookery you will continue along the edge of the mangrove and complete the loop back to the Biological Research Center where you will enjoy a delicious breakfast of typical Costa Rican food. The final leg of the tour includes secondary forest and the beach, your best opportunities to observe shore birds such as whimbrels, plovers, phalaropes, sandpipers and sanderlings, pelicans and frigatebirds. From the beach it is a short walk back to the Guide Center, where you began. Departure: Monday – Saturday, 6:00 AM, requires prior reservation. Sportfisihing with Ballena Aventura from Uvita

We offer two types of sport fishing: Deep sea (full day) or Coastal (half day). The deep sea fishing starts at 07:00 a.m. with a duration of 7 to 8 hours approximately. Our meeting point will be at the office of Ballena Aventura, we will offer a refreshing juice of seasonal fruit along with a snack to taste while we make the registration of each of our companions. Once registered we will move on for a small walk of Ballena Bay history to the entrance of the Ballena National Marine Park (Uvita Beach sector), where we will take the boat that will be waiting for us. During the offshore fishing we are looking for larger species such as tuna, mahi mahi, sailfish, wahoo, among others. Departure: 7:00 am Estimated time: 7- 8 hours Includes: Boat transportation, experienced captain in fishing, bilingual guide (Spanish/English), safety equipment, fishing equipment, water, fruits, sandwiches, cookies, insurance and private parking for your vehicle if required. Requirement/Recommendations: Not suitable for pregnant women of high risk, nor children under 2 years of age.
