Cowboy for a day At Rancho la Merced Wildlife Refuge

Description: Come and have an unforgettable experience riding with the cowboys, driving cattle, checking calves and cows on the pastures, learning to rope calves, and many other ranch activities.

Horseback Tour in Oro Verde Biological Reserve

Highlights: Slots, monkeys, a great variety of birds. Watch tower 20ft above the ground, traditional sugar mill, and swimming holes.

They offer two horseback riding tours: You can choose between a ride through primary and secondary forests or along the Morete River.

Tour in Rancho La Merced Wildlife Refuge

Highlights: Wildlife Refuge and sustainable cattle operation. Primary Forest, waterfall, rivers, and a long beach to ride.
Description: Rancho La Merced offers three options for horseback riding tours: to a waterfall through the rainforest, on the beach (Hermosa Beach), or a combination of both of the above.

Tour to Nauyaca Waterfalls

Highlights: Two gorgeous waterfalls: One is a free-fall, 147ft waterfall, and the other is a tiered, 65ft waterfall with a 20ft deep swimming hole at the bottom.
Description: Nauyaca Waterfalls is a Costa Rican, family business which has dedicated for many years to operate horseback tours to two spectacular waterfalls that border the family farm. During the ride, you will be able to observe abundant flora and fauna and also see Don Lulo’s house, where both breakfast and lunch are served. There is also time to enjoy and swim in the waterfalls’ pools.
